According to the official notification of the Delhi Technological University B.A. (H) Economics Admission 2023–24, admission to the above-mentioned program for the academic session 2023–24 will be based on the results of the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) administered by the National Testing Agency (NTA).
The registr ation process for three new Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) courses that Delhi University is introducing this academic year is likely to begin in the end of June, officials from the university said on Thursday.According to the officials, the eligibility criteria for admission to these courses will be different from other undergraduate (UG) courses being offered by the university. The three B.Tech courses will have 360 seats — 120 each for the computer science and engineering, electronics and communication engineering, and electrical engineering courses. Officials said that for admission to these courses, the university will consider the candidate’s Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2023 score, as opposed to the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) scores for other programmes at DU.
“Candidates must have passed Class 12 from a recognised board to be eligible for the programme. The candidate must also have secured 60% or more marks in an aggregate of physics, chemistry, and mathematics and must have passed English (core or elective) as a subject at the senior school certificate examination level. Apart from these qualifiers, admission will be based on the ranks obtained in JEE-Main,” said a DU official, requesting anonymity. “The university is likely to open its registration portal in the last week of June and there will be a registration-cum-counselling fee of ₹1,500.

More than 52K students register on DU portal
A day after DU began registering candidates for its undergraduate programmes, varsity officials said that 52,790 candidates registered on the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) portal till 7pm on Thursday.
DU’s 68 colleges offer 78 undergraduate programmes and 198 BA programme combinations, with around 71,000 seats.

According to the Delhi Technological University B.A.(H) Economics Admission 2023-24 official notification, candidates must fulfill certain eligibility criteria for being considered for admission. The detailed eligibility parameters have been mentioned below:
- The candidate must have appeared in the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) UG 2023 being conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA).
- The candidate must have passed Mathematics as a subject in the 12th Board Examination. Those who are appearing for the 12th board examination may also apply, provided that they submit the proof of eligibility by a specific date declared by the University.
- Candidates belonging to the General category must have scored at least 50% marks in the 12th board examination from a recognized board. Candidates from the Defence sub-category (CW) and the Other Backward Class (OBC-NCL) are given a 5% mark relaxation. Students from SC/ST and PWD (person with Disabilities) category shall receive a relaxation of 10% marks in the minimum marks criterion.

Candidates can register for the CUET UG exam by visiting the official website of the NTA.
Desirous students will have to fill out a separate registration form on the official website of DTU around the time of the result declaration of the CUET UG. Without this registration, candidates cannot partake in the admission process for DTU’s BA (H) Economics program.
