India vs Pakistan live streaming Asia Cup 2023: Having won their opener versus Nepal, Pakistan stand a win away from reaching Super Four when they take on India.India and Pakistan are all set to face off for the first time in four years in the ODI at Pallekele in the ongoing Asia Cup.

The last time the two teams have played against each other in the ODIs was way back in 2019 World Cup, where India has registerd a thumping 89-run win. In the last five ODI matches, India are leading 4-1 in head-to-head. Their only loss was at Oval in the 2017 Champions Trophy final.

Although India reached Kandy on Wednesday, they didn’t have a training session on Thursday and are scheduled to train on Friday evening. With forecasts of moderate to heavy rains predicted for the next three days, there is a lot of uncertainty around the India vs Pakistan fixture.

India vs Pakistan Live Score

Ishan Kishan scored his fourth consecutive ODI half century as he and Hardik Pandya powered India’s recovery after they lost four wickets in 14 overs. Pandya himself scored his 11th ODI fifty as the pair brought India back on an even keel after the Pakistan pacers ran riot early in the match.  The stand was broken by Haris Rauf after it had produced 138 runs in 141 balls when Ishan Kishan fell while trying to go for a big shot. He had started cramping up at that stage and fell on 82 off 81. Pandya has since stepped up his rate of scoring and is now himself looking good for scoring a maiden ODI century. Earlier, Pakistan’s pacers ran riot with Shaheen Afridi dismissing Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli while Haris Rauf dismissed Shreyas Iyer. That led to India losing three wickets in the first 10 overs. Rauf then dismissed the struggling Shubman Gill after which Pandya and Kishan shut out the Pakistan bowlers.

It is the battle royale, the clash of the arch-rivals and the one that the cricketing world has been waiting with bated breath. Pakistan have their tails up after beating Nepal comprehensively in the Asia Cup opener, while it will be a fresh start and first match of the campaign for India, as they face-off at Kandy on Saturday, September 2.

Pakistan have named an unchanged squad — the same 11 that routed Nepal by 238 runs on Wednesday at Multan. Pakistan — the current ICC’s No. 1 ranked ODI team — kicked off their Asia Cup campaign in style as their skipper Babar Azam thrashed hapless Nepalese bowling notching 151 off 131 balls.

The Indian bowling attack will be spearheaded by the recuperated Jasprit Bumrah who will want to see Babar’s back soon. Apart from Bumrah, India’s bowling will rely on Mohd Shami and Mohd Siraj, alongwith all-rounder Hardik Pandya in the pace department, with Ravindra Jadeja and Kuldeep Yadav likely to be picked on the spin-friendly track. The Indian top-order will likely feature Shubman Gill and skipper Rohit Sharma as openers, followed by Virat Kohli and keeper-batsman Ishan Kishan, with Suryakumar Yadav likely taking the much-debated No. 5 spot.
