i.n.d.i.a alliance party full form|nda alliance party list 2024|india alliance party list 2023:The 2024 poll bugle was sounded on Tuesday after like-minded Opposition parties came up with a new name for their alliance while the Bharatiya Janata Party-led National Democratic Alliance held its first meeting in view of the upcoming general elections. While 26 Opposition parties came together in Karnataka’s Bengaluru to form Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (INDIA), the NDA held a meeting with 38 of its members with some old and new constituents. 

Furthering the acronym game, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in his address to the allies, said “NDA stands for ‘New India’, ‘Developed Nation’, and ‘Aspirations of People’. Today, the poor, middle class, youth, women, tribals all trust NDA.”

Among the existing constituents of NDA are Bharatiya Janata Party, All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam, Pattali Makkal Katchi, Apna Dal (Sonelal), Asom Gana Parishad, All Jharkhand Students Union. 

Following the political crisis in Shiv Sena and Nationalist Congress Party in Maharashtra, the Shinde faction and Ajit Pawar faction respectively were present in today’s NDA meeting. Jitan Ram Manjhi’s Hindustan Awam Morcha and Pashupati Kumar Paras’s Rashtriya Lok Janshakti Party were also in attendance.

Leaders from 26 opposition parties and 38 National Democratic Alliance partners are meeting in Bengaluru and New Delhi, respectively to discuss strategy ahead of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.

While the first day of the opposition meeting saw informal discussions followed by a dinner meeting, Tuesday will see formal deliberations. All political parties were asked at the dinner meeting on Monday night to suggest names for the alliance and the same would be discussed and consensus would be arrived at during the deliberations.

Some reports have claimed that the parties are also likely to issue a joint declaration and finalise a committee for the functioning of the grouping and may name of Sonia Gandhi as chairperson of the new grouping. Sonia Gandhi was the chairperson of UPA 1 and 2, which remained in government from 2004 to 2014.

The Bharatiya Janata Party, on the other hand, is eyeing a grand show of strength of its alliance on Tuesday with party president JP Nadda asserting that 38 constituents of the ruling NDA have confirmed their participation in the meeting where Prime Minister Narendra Modi will also be present.

On Wednesday, Goenka threw a challenge to his Twitter followers: create a better full form of B.H.A.R.A.T.The chairman of RPG Group even threw in an incentive to sweeten the deal – the person who comes up with the best full form, whether in Hindi or English, would receive a box of exotic chai from the company’s tea gardens.

“We recently heard of the full form of I.N.D.I.A. Here is a challenge: can you create a better full form of B.H.A.R.A.T. ? English or Hindi will do.
