Covid Cases in Telangana in Last 24 hours Today:Concerns have arisen among the public across the country following the report of four COVID-19-related deaths in Kerala on December 17, highlighting worries about a potential surge in cases. In contrast, Telangana has currently recorded five active COVID-19 cases as of Monday, with no reported deaths. The sole death reported nationally on Monday was from Kerala, with the State having a total of 1,634 active COVID cases.

After a gap of precisely seven months, the Telangana government released a COVID bulletin late on Tuesday night. According to the bulletin issued by the Director of Public Health and Family Welfare’s office, the State reported four positive COVID cases on Tuesday, bringing the total active cases in the state to nine. Recovered cases remained at zero on Monday, with a cumulative recovery rate of 99.51%. On Tuesday, the State conducted a total of 402 tests.

Amid the recent surge in COVID-19 cases in the neighbouring states and Telangana too reporting a few infections, the State Health Department on Tuesday issued an advisory, making use of face masks mandatory. As of Tuesday, there are nine active cases in Telangana.  In its advisory, the Health Department asked people to wear face masks while stepping out of their houses. Not wearing a mask will be punishable by a fine, it added.

The department also advised the vulnerable age groups — children below 10 years of age, people above 60 years of age and pregnant women — to avoid outdoor activities. Stating that people in the age group of 20 to 50 years are susceptible to the disease, it requested them to exercise caution while stepping out for work or other essential activities. Workspaces should be equipped with hand-wash facilities and sanitisers. It is advised that a distance of more than six feet should be maintained between employees, it said.

Following a sudden spike in COVID-19 cases across the country, the Telangana State Government made it clear that wearing masks in public is mandatory, and those who do not wear masks will be fined.According to the most recent COVID health bulletin, four COVID-19 positive cases were recorded in Telangana on December 19, 2023, with nine persons undergoing treatment in isolation.

Telangana Health department has urged the public to take precautionary measures amid COVID-19 surge, and advised vulnerable age groups like children under 10, pregnant mothers, and elderly individuals to avoid going outdoors unless mandatory.

The health bulletin indicates a higher COVID incidence of COVID-19 cases among 20-50-year-olds, prompting individuals to exercise caution during work and essential activities.

According to the health bulletin, There is a higher incidence of COVID disease in the age group of 20 to 50years, hence people are requested to exercise due precaution while going for work/essential activities.The health department emphasized the importance of maintaining physical distance of over 6ft between individuals, especially when outside their homes.

Telangana reported nine new cases of COVID-19 on Friday with one recovery, out of the total cases, eight were reported in Hyderabad and one in Rangareddy. The daily count witnessed an uptick as the State reported six cases on Thursday. Presently, the State has 27 active cases undergoing treatment or isolation. On Friday, a total of 1245 samples were tested, with results are pending for 68.

Telangana reported nine new COVID-19 cases on December 22 with Hyderabad accounting for eight of them while one was reported from Rangareddy.

The total number of cases under treatment/ isolation stood at 27, a Health department bulletin said.

Meanwhile, a 14-month-old boy and a two-month-old girl tested positive for COVID-19 at the state-run Niloufer Hospital here and they were in the isolation ward, a senior Health official said.

A total of 1,245 samples were tested on December 22 and reports were pending for 68, it said. Telangana on December 21 had reported six COVID-19 cases. No fresh fatalities due to the virus were reported on December 22, it said.
