Natural star Nani and Keerthy Suresh starrer Dasara is all set to hit the theatre screens today, Thursday, March 30. The wait and excitement among fans for this pan-India mass entertainer have been high ever since the announcement.

Natural Star Nani is gearing up for the biggest bet in his career. Directed by Srikanth Odela, Dasara is a rustic Telangana-based village drama. Keerthy Suresh played the leading lady and the music composed by Santosh Narayanan is a massive hit. Sudhakar Cherukuri’s SLV Cinemas are the producers and the film is hitting the screens today. After Ante Sundaraniki, Nani is back with the most-awaited movie, Dasara. Nani never upsets the audience by selecting different roles with unique scripts. Dasara is a mixture of action, drama, romance, and comedy. As usual, Nani nailed his character and kept the audience on the edge of their seats with his natural acting. We can say that no actor can do justice to Dharani’s role quite like Nani. Talking about Keerthy  Suresh, she has a drastic makeover as Vennela’s character in the movie. Keerthy Suresh shared good chemistry with Nani in the movie. The dialogues in the movie is another reason to amaze the audience. Nani, Keerthy Suresh, and Dheekshit Shetty’s Telangana slang did not disappoint the viewers.

Overall, Nani’s Dasara exceeded the audience’s expectations with a unique storyline that surprised them. Earlier, there was speculation that Dasara might be the same as Allu Arjun’s Pushpa, but netizens are coming out of the theatres with positive reviews. Movie critics are rating Dasara on a scale of 4 out of 5. Well, the point to be noted that the interval and climax scenes have a special base that is worth experiencing on the big screen.

Dasara is a rustic village story that revolves around three friends Dharani ( Nani) , Vennela ( Keerthy Suresh), and Suri ( Shetty). Set in 1995, the Crux of the story is how sarpanch Nambi (played by Shine Tom Chacko) impacts the lives of the lead trio. The film is set in the backdrop of singareni mines of Telangana.

Natural Star Nani is coming with Dasara in a new rugged look in a raw and rustic backdrop. In the direction of newcomer Srikanth Odela, the talented actor seemed very confident in the output. The trailer raised curiosity all over. The movie was released in theaters today and here is the review from the US premieres.

What Is It About?

A village in coalmine backdrop, Veerlapalli is in the clutch of politics and alcohol addiction of villagers. Dharani (Nani) and Suri (Deekshith Shetty) are childhood friends. Dharani falls in love with Vennela (Keerthy Suresh), but she loves Suri. The focus shifts toward Dharani and Suri after the politics between big heads involve them coincidentally. Dharani gets a shock of his life amid many twists. What happened to him and how does he fight back? This forms the story of Dasara.

Performances

Nani is one gem of an actor and proved it umpteen times. In Dasara, Nani reinvented himself and we see only Dharani from beginning to end. Undoubtedly Dasara remains Nani’s best performance so far. From the accent and appearance to emotional scenes and action sequences, Nani excelled in each and every frame. There are many highlight scenes of Nani where he snatches the show with his onscreen brilliance. Keerthy Suresh’s acting prowess could be seen alongside the scenes with Nani. Deekshith Shetty gives an on-par show with Nani and his terrific presence makes quite an impression. The leading trio’s performances are that pushes Dasara to the next level.

In other actors, Sai Kumar and Samthurakani get very limited roles and they did fine. The friends’ gang of Dharani is good. Shine Tom Chacko looked ordinary and could have been more vivid and striking.

The film is expected to witness Nani’s career-best opening, crossing the previous one by over 50%. According to the early trends, reportedly the film will show a jumper opening and is likely to earn Rs 10 crore on its first day. The shows have already started as early as 5 am on the day of release to cater to the overwhelming demand. Fans can expect a power-packed performance from the actor, who is known for his versatility and charm on screen.

The film has been written and directed by Srikanth Odela and is about Dharani, a character played by superstar Nani, who seems to cause turmoil in the community every time he gets drunk before forgetting the trouble he caused when sober. It is set against the backdrop of a coal mining village.

Dasara will release on March 30 over 1300 screens across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. The buzz and excitement around the film are so high that now more shows are getting added. This is getting a large number of shows and almost houseful bookings across all timings. To meet the enormous demand, the shows will begin as early as 5 am on the day of release.

It was reported that the film has sold over 86,000 tickets across the country. Till now, it has amassed around Rs 1.6 crore gross in all languages. Trade analysts believe that the advance booking for the movie will increase from the previous two days and break new records for Nani.
