Kala Ghoda Festival has finally returned for its twentieth edition. The grand festival will be held over a span of nine days from February 4 -18 in the Kala Ghoda district of South Mumbai.

Asia’s most significant cultural festival & India’s largest multi-cultural extravaganza is back on-ground.The highly-awaited annual Kala Ghoda Arts Festival is ready to take over the streets of Mumbai from the 4th to the 12th of February this year. Uniquely themed Past Forward, the festival will host a myriad of programmes across 14 verticals – Dance, Music, Visual Arts, Theatre, Literature, Food, Children’s Literature & Workshops, Cinema, Heritage Walks, Stand Up Comedy, Street Art, Urban Design & Architecture, Visual Arts and Workshops – at over multiple iconic venues.
The Kala Ghoda festival is organised by Kala Ghoda Association, a non-profit organization. The festival is named after the blackish equestrian statue of Edward VII which used to be located in the fort area of Mumbai. Though this festival is renowned as art festival, its main highlight is that it is a street festival.Though the festival was restricted to the Kala Ghoda region earlier, it has now extended its reach to other regions with similar events also being held in Azad Maidan and Horniman Circle.
