- West Bengal CM Mamta Banerjee has started this Jai Bangla Pension Scheme under which financial assistance will be given to the needy.
- A major feature of this pension scheme is that it provides financial security to the elderly, disabled and all other needy widows.
- Under the scheme, a monthly financial assistance of Rs 1,000 will be provided to the eligible applicant.
