Eligibility Requirements – Criteria
For an applicant to qualify for the Labour Card scholarships, he/she must meet the following criteria:
- Regardless of the salary they receive, Mineworkers who perform manual, unskilled, highly skilled, and clerical work are eligible for all labour benefit organisation welfare schemes.
- Subject to a monthly salary maximum of Rs.10,000, individuals in supervisory and administrative positions are eligible to participate in a variety of benefit programs.
- The applicant must have passed the most recent qualifying exam on the first try. However, students who have been promoted to the following class are also eligible to apply for the aforementioned awards.
- The scholars who pursue their studies via correspondence are ineligible.
- Candidates for scholarships must have been admitted to recognised institutions in India for any general or technical education program, including medical, engineering, and agricultural courses, on a regular basis. However, the following categories of students are not eligible for scholarship awards under the program
- The applicant must have passed the last qualifying examination on first attempt. But students who have been moved up to the next grade can also apply for the above scholarships.
- Scholars who do their schoolwork through the mail are not eligible.
- For a candidate to get a scholarship award, they must have been accepted into a regular course of study at a recognized institution in India. This could be in any field of general or technical education, such as medicine, engineering, or agriculture. But the following types of students are not eligible for scholarships through the program:
- Students who have finished one level of schooling and are now in the same level of schooling but studying a different subject. For example, B.Sc. after B.A., B.A. after B.Com., or M.A. in one subject after M.A. in another.
